Testing Access Monitor

This is a test page to see how the Access Monitor plugin is functioning…

I will purposely create some accessibility problems to see what it can pick up on.

Heading Level Problems

a classic technical foul for accessibility is to skip heading levels or otherwise violate the logical hierarchy of the heading order.

I started with an h2, I’ll move to h4 next and see what we get.

Bad Heading Skip to Level Four

and then I’ll go all the way to h1 and back to h4…

Titles are usually h1

in this case we’re breaking the rules on purpose- so whatever…

Another problem child at level four

and this concludes the first part of our heading test…

Images and Descriptions

Using laptop, canon 1Ds mark III

the above picture has a title and a caption but no alt text…

the above image only has a title…

crowd of people seated in a large hall

I added a simple alt text description to the image above.

Table Trouble

lets see what happens with a table that has no defined headers…

Here is a random table from the stack of pre-existing tables:

November 28, 2017AgendaMinutes
November 3, 2017AgendaMinutes
October 13, 2017AgendaMinutes
September 8, 2017AgendaMinutes
August 11, 2017AgendaMinutes
June 2, 2017AgendaMinutes
May 5, 2017AgendaMinutes
March 17, 2017AgendaMinutes
February 10, 2017AgendaMinutes
January 20, 2017AgendaMinutes

I will now make a new table with TablePress that I am certain has no header cells:
